WENDY MARKUM
OWNER & LEAD WEDDING PLANNER | LEAD FLORIST
Hi — I’m Wendy (a.k.a. the purple-haired planner), owner and lead planner of Revel & Wonder Weddings.
I’ve spent over twenty years planning large-scale events and theatre productions, and for the past decade I’ve focused exclusively on what I love most: creating unforgettable weddings and fiercely protecting my amazing couples.
I run on coffee, share my office with three high-maintenance furry coworkers, and do my best design thinking during late-night bubble baths. I celebrate a job well done with red wine and dark chocolate, ugly-sing in the car on the way to client meetings, geek out over Harry Potter, and fully embrace emoji banter with my couples.
Revel & Wonder was created to be a safe, supportive space where couples can celebrate who they are — and enjoy the planning process along the way. Weddings come with enough pressure to be “perfect,” and I believe that stress has no place in a celebration rooted in love. My approach is deeply personal and collaborative, allowing me to translate each couple’s personality, priorities, and story into a wedding that feels authentic and intentional.
I tell my couples a wedding is a success when guests walk away saying, “That was so them.”

MATT (he/him)
WEDDING COORDINATOR | FLORIST
Matt and Wendy have known each other since childhood and grew up doing theatre together. As a 20+ year professional carpenter, this guy is our own McGyver. You might see Matt assisting with the setup of complex weddings or upstaging Wendy as the Wedding Party's and vendor favorite "DAD." When it comes time to play good cop/bad cop, Matt always gets to be the "good cop."
Matt is the father of two teens and a college student. When he is not working as a carpenter or a pack-mule with the Bridesmaids' makeup bags or Groomsmen's coolers, Matt enjoys hiking in nature or working on house projects.

ANDREA (she/her)
ASSISTANT WEDDING COORDINATOR
Andrea has been in the hospitality industry since 2009 in hotel management, assisting in planning and coordinating weddings. In 2020, Andrea started her own Planning Business and has had the opportunity to work with many amazing couples. Andrea is also one of three team members who have been ordained as an officiant and has officiated multiple weddings.
Andrea started with Revel & Wonder in Spring 2022, and since her first day, Wendy has been trying to get her to take a lead role. Andrea is a huge asset to any wedding team, warm, extremely efficient, and a wonderful problem-solver. Plus, she always has the tissues on hand for the ceremony.

MANDY (she/her)
WEDDING ASSISTANT
Mandy has been with the crew since 2016 and deserves an award for putting up with Wendy for that long. :-) Mandy is soft-spoken, but don't let that fool you; she has a wicked sense of humor and is very efficient and focused on her wedding tasks. When not working on weddings, Mandy is a small-business owner of Bitty & Bean and loves spending time with her family, including her husband Donny and daughter Meredith.

NARCISSA
OFFICE PUP/CORP. AMBASSADOR
Narcissa (formerly Pygora) was born in November 2023. She was rescued from a puppy mill in Arkansas with her siblings and brought to BAHS for foster assistance. Wendy was her foster mom and, after just one shot week, knew that she had "Foster Failed" and adopted Narcissa.
Narcissa's job for R&W is as our "Giving Ambassador." She will be the face and name of our Social Giving/Awareness campaign to local and trustworthy shelters in the StL. Metro. If you are a client, you will surely meet Nacissa during our Zoom meetings, and she would love to meet your furry family as well.
